We are looking for a skilled Sr. Application Support Developer to provide fast and effective support and build improvements for our Warehouse Management System. As an Application Developer, you will be required to respond to support requests in person and over the phone, assess and diagnose software issues, implement enhancements and upgrades, install WMS software, consult the warehouse business, and assist in implementing projects as both a team member. You may also be required to provide basic software training, as well as miscellaneous warehouse-related support.

To ensure success as a Sr. Application Support Developer, you should have advanced knowledge of Cadence WMS by Cadre preferably, or extensive knowledge of other WMS solutions and warehouse operations. This position requires excellent logical, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as high-level communication and project management skills. Collaboration with other WMS developers, other team members, and the business. Professional and effective customer communication is a must. You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business processes and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST.?Ultimately, a skilled Application Developer provides fast and effective support over the phone and in person.

Time spent for assigned duties and responsibilities are estimated as follows:
  • Working with Internal End-Users 75%
  • Working with Outside Vendors/Contractors 15%
  • Working with Outside Vendors/Contractors 10%
Responsibilities:
  • The primary responsibility is to manage incoming warehouse related tickets; evaluate, prioritize, or escalate to other senior team members or vendor, resolve (with assistance from vendor if necessary), and provide feedback to the user.
  • Build or assist in building custom enhancements related to WMS systems in the form of KPIs, stored procedure, triggers, functions and other database objects.
  • Partner with WMS vendor and other vendors to build solutions and integrations.
  • Interacting with the business and team members in person, over the phone, via email, Teams messaging, via web conferencing and any other communication solutions required.
  • Creating and writing SQL scripts to resolve issues beyond just SELECT statements.
  • Updating existing system database objects, including stored procedures and functions.
  • Installation and configuration of Cadence WMS software on PCs
  • Installation and configuration of RF scanners.
  • Assist and delegate to junior developers and receive escalated work from junior developers.
  • Be involved with upgrades, patches, and other application infrastructure tasks and technologies which may need to be installed and supported.
  • Assist with projects and track projects in Jira.
  • Act as liaison between business and senior developer on some projects.
  • You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business processes and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST.
Requirements:?

  • Take ownership of your Duty to Communicate all required and relevant information to necessary people, departments, and customers.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an end-user technical support role, 4-year technical degree, advanced knowledge of Cadence modules, or a combination.
  • Experience writing SQL select statements, executing scripts and overall mastery of SQL and relational database systems.
  • Strong customer service skills, professionalism, and friendly desk-side manners are a must.
  • Understanding of upgrading and patching of enterprise software systems (including maintaining a test environment) preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and time management skills.
