The Outreach Program Facilitator is a part-time, seasonal position, that provides Academic Edge outreach program in a designated geographical area or school district. As part of the Outreach Team, the Program Facilitator is responsible for delivering enrichment programs two to four days a week (4-20 hours per week - depending on season and need). This position will be based out of Lancaster, PA. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop strong collaborative and trusting relationships with key school personnel, community partners, and parents/guardians.Act as liaison between educational site and Program Coordinator to ensure all programming needs are met. Maintain accurate program records including participant attendance rosters, certificates of achievements, and other important information. Deliver prescribed Girl Scout programming to girls at assigned sites and ensure a safe and positive learning experience for participants. Facilitate programs that promote the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, including all four pillars: STEM, Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Outdoors. Keep inventory and be responsible for all program-related supplies and materials.Provide professional, quality customer service and support to all key stakeholders including girls, parents/guardians, volunteers, school staff and other community contacts.Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.Demonstrate commitment to the Girl Scout mission by representing GSHPA in a positive and professional manner.Work independently with limited supervisionPerform other duties as assigned to further the mission of GSHPA. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent is required2-3 years of experience working or volunteering with youth is preferred.Ability to establish rapport with girls and motivate them to participate in activities Skills to lead programs in a flexible, professional manner and in accordance with GSHPA principles.Work a flexible schedule, including daytime, evenings and weekends, as required.Ability to effectively identify, analyze, and solve problems.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.Dependable, organized, punctual, and a positive role model for young people.Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, but not required. Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages.Adapt well to changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.Successfully pass and maintain required background clearances.Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.Efficiently operate standard office equipment.Willingness to travel throughout the council as needed.Sit, stand, or walk for a moderate period of time.Lift/carry 30 pounds.
