SUMMARY
Please note: This position will comprise 95% marketing copywriting responsibilities. This position will require 3 days a week of on-campus presence. The department will allow 2 days of remote work per week after the probationary period.
The primary responsibility of the Marketing Communications Specialist is to support marketing and communications efforts to attract new students and retain existing students in line with the college's enrollment, marketing and brand goals. The Marketing Communications Specialist is a key brand ambassador and will be expected to reflect their enthusiasm for Gateway and technical education in their daily work.
This position reports to the Manager of Community Relations & Communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate print/digital publication and web content creation and updates.
- Assist internal customers in effectively prioritizing, managing and delivering key messages. Use interviewing, strategic thinking, creativity and communication skills to gather information and develop compelling content for various channels and audiences.
- Extensive copy writing for the college's website, brochures, publications, e-newsletter and other media. This includes writing copy for a variety of audiences that generates excitement about Gateway. Serving as the brand storyteller.
- Work with department team members and assigned programs/divisions on key communications initiatives, developing content plans and writing copy for a variety of projects and audiences as needed. Work closely with the other Marketing Communications Specialist to ensure consistent messaging and brand is carried throughout the college's publications.
- With Manager and Marketing Communication Specialist develop social media plan, matching latest trends with Gateway targets. Implement audience and enrollment building strategies. Create and execute engaging content that builds the brand and engagement with customers.
- Ensure college editorial and branding standards are met, maintain clear and consistent voice and message across all media.
