Office Associate Position:
Processes sales, returns, special orders and layaway transactions. Follows through in all facets of servicing the guest. Performs inventory and security procedures to prevent losses.
Minimum 1 year experience in the retail industry.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Effective communication skills with Vendors, Home Office and the Guest
are necessary.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be number oriented with the ability to calculate selling price, discount variance and inventory counts.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Basic computer skills are required
OTHER SKILLS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. Some lifting of boxes and the ability to close the security gate is necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires the availability to work day, evening and weekend hours. Some additional hours will be required, especially during peak seasons.

Office Associate Position:
Processes sales, returns, special orders and layaway transactions. Follows through in all facets of servicing the guest. Performs inventory and security procedures to prevent losses.
- Provide pleasant prompt service to the guest
- Rings all sales transactions
- Ensures merchandise is secured
- Incoming/outgoing packages are secured
- Layaway control
- Daily bank deposits
- Monitors diamond testing
- Controls repair gross margin and sales
- Repair organization and processing
- Special order confirmations
- Warranties and appraisals
- Works with the jeweler on site
- Merchandise tag maintenance
- Receives and sends out merchandise from vendors and the home office
- Assists with Restyle and Special Event preparation
- Floor awareness, sells when necessary
- Participate in attaining monthly sales goals
- Monitors case count accuracy
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
