We are looking for a skilled Key Accounts Manager to strengthen relationships with key clients. This role involves maintaining and expanding accounts, driving sales, and ensuring client satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maximize sales potential and profitability within existing accounts.
- Effectively communicate pricing and programing with management and sales team.
- Launch new products and ensure customer acceptance.
- Build and maintain a business development pipeline with key prospects and customers.
- Develop and execute strategies for retaining and expanding relationships with key accounts.
- Participate in strategic account planning using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Serve as the primary liaison for key clients, addressing their needs promptly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve issues.
- Provide accurate market insights and conduct competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to optimize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory levels and merchandising to enhance product visibility and reduce out-of-stocks.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and submit accurate sales reports on time.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (strongly preferred).
- 5+ years of account management or sales experience in the beverage distribution industry.
- Strong grasp of sales principles, negotiation techniques, and customer relationship management.
- Proven record of sales success and customer satisfaction, driven to achieve targets.
- Excellent communication and people skills, capable of understanding customer needs.
- Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative, and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in computer skills and integrating communication into the sales process.
- Willingness to travel as required, with a valid Texas state driver's license.
- In-depth understanding of the beverage distribution market and emerging industry trends.
- Proven ability to analyze sales data and market insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to client challenges.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or in meetings.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds for product demonstrations or event setups.
- Travel may require extended periods of driving or flying.
- Ability to navigate various environments, including retail and food service locations.
Involves frequent/infrequent, occasional, and routine exposure to:
- Exposure to various retail and food service environments, which may include noise, temperature fluctuations, and crowded spaces.
- Potential for exposure to product samples and promotional materials, requiring adherence to safety guidelines.
- Travel may involve risks associated with driving or flying, including adverse weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to warehouse settings, where moving equipment and inventory may pose safety risks.
- Other extreme hazards not listed above.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
- Certified Beverage Professional (CBP), Certified Sales Professional (CSP), food/beverage safety certification(s) (e.g., ServSafe), preferred.
