Key Responsibilities Crafting Vision & Strategy Both craft and drive complex product(s) and experience vision across a matrixed organization independently Demonstrate mastery in leading long-term vision strategically aligned to the organizational goals Sponsor and gain approvals/alignment on product strategies Partner with senior leadership to connect related initiatives across the enterprise Responsible for budget of entire portfolio of products Delivering Business Value Maintain mastery in translating business needs into customer goals and features Maintainmastery in crafting and driving the vision, strategy andoverall roadmap fora highly complex product line or multiple product lines to deliver against core customer value propositions and Best Buy's strategic and financial goals Customer Obsession Keep the customer need at the forefront of solution creation Demonstrate empathy for the customer at all times Steer discussions to how to build customer trust Work to reduce system constraints (resource, financial, technology) to build long-term customer engagement and brand love Understand the connections between customer needs across the organization Innovation Exemplify innovating with purpose anddemonstrating the test/learn/iterate mindset Promote progress over perfection Accept failure but not repeat mistakes Lead teams to innovate and transform by embracing new ways of working Continuously demonstrate an innovative mindset and find ways to push through adversity and influence others to do the same across the enterprise. Analysis Master skills toanalyze product performance through qualitative and quantitative analysis tools and processes Use that analysis to answer questions as well asapply to crafting theories highly ambiguous business problems and may lead teams against this objective They understand business problems outside of their responsibility and tie them to enterprise goals Leadership The Senior Director of Product Management isa member of the departmental senior leadership team who has a clear responsibility for ensuring a diverse and inclusive culture on their teams and others. Responsible for growing and training their direct leaders in preparation for future expanded leadership roles and influencing the development of their indirect leaders. Create an overarching vision for their department and how it interrelates to our enterprise goals May share in enterprise strategy development with their leader and other departmental and enterprise leaders They may or may not manage and develop individual direct reports, but they have leadership responsibilities with the product team (s) with which they work. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field OR equivalent experience. Including: 12 years of Product Management experience, OR experience working with development, User experience, Strategy, or related 8 years of experience with direct people management and team management 5 years of relevant experience in strategy creation, customer-focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, or related Demonstrated experience in leading teams to deliver innovative products that enhance conversational customer experiences and drive business results. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions and optimize product performance.
