If you have the drive to work in a flexible, fun, passionate Technology and Data team we would love to hear from you Purpose of the Job: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead one of our strategic domains in the Technology & Data area. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical ownership, and mentorship across multiple squads within your domain. Principal Accountabilities: Lead and manage a team of Lead Engineers across multiple squads within the domain, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities. Drive technical excellence and innovation within your Domain and across the Engineering organization, setting high standards for technology and ways of working. Champion best practices in software engineering, including code quality, scalability, and maintainability. Take accountability for delivery across your squads, and technical ownership of all the products within the Pricing & Risk Assessment Domain, including architectural and design decisions, and overall technical direction. Foster a product-led and agile working mindset, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, stakeholders' needs, and business objectives. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps, priorities, and deliverables. Translate business requirements into technical solutions, balancing short-term needs with long-term technical sustainability. Ensure alignment with company goals and objectives, and drive the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge sharing within the domain and across whole engineering organisation in Brit. Encourage continuous learning and professional development among team members. Manage resources effectively, including budget allocation, resource planning, and talent development. Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within the Domain. Regulatory Conduct Rules: Act with integrity. Act with due skill, care and diligence. Act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers. Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Extended experience in leading and coaching individual contributors and leaders. Proven experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams. Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Strong technical background and hands-on experience with Python, C , .NET, Azure cloud, and containerization. Experience with low/no-code tools like Unqork is a plus. Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies, with experience leading teams in adopting and implementing these frameworks. Experience working in and advocating for a fully automated, rapid development environment. Demonstrated ability to streamline processes, automate workflows, and accelerate the software development lifecycle. Ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive strategic initiatives, and make tough decisions when necessary. Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and professional development.
