We have modernized our technology stack to focus on the cloud and top tier tools.We are looking for someone who embraces the use of technology to build, manage, and govern data. As a Senior Staff Engineer at TJX, you will work with a team that partners with the analytics product management team and delivers products for one or more key business domains, including Stores & Selling, Corporate Finance, Merchandising, and Product Safety teams. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test and deploy data pipelines, data conversions, reports, AI/ML models and other software solutions to support implementation and scaling of Data Governance capabilities Analyse needs to develop and implement automation solutions, data import and export, API integrations and other ETL solutions using tools like Talend and/or Python. Leveraging AI/ML methodologies to create knowledge graphs, AI/ML models, GenAI and other AI/ML solutions to scale Data Governance and automation capabilities efficiently. Implement ETL solutions on Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Databricks for data processing. Manage data models, extract, analyse and profile data using Data Science principles/SQL queries and visualize insights Leverage tools and programming languages like Python, SQL, stored procedures, Alteryx and Data Science libraries like Pandas to build robust data solutions. Create and deliver reports and insights based on data profiling and analysis as needed. Work as a lead team member under minimum guidance, employing DevOps tools, establishing CI/CD pipelines, API integrations and cloud computing platforms such as Azure for streamlined software delivery while remaining compliant to established practices and standards. Collaborate within Agile teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Guide, mentor and train other junior associates to expand their technical skill and knowledge. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work up and down within the organization to influence others and achieve results Partner with key stakeholders & IT leaders across all levels to drive solutions to meet business needs Accountable for the technical delivery of technical Features to achieve business outcomes Participates in solution approaches / designs and operating principles Serves as a liaison with other IT partners for technical matters relating to their owned products (inc. security related aspects) Initial point of escalation for team to remove blockers Special projects as assigned Model lean-agile leadership behaviour Practice Servant Leadership, enable teams and talent Foster an Engineering Mindset Continually focus on eliminating waste and delays Accountable for developing Engineering staff Demonstrates a commitment and passion for associate development, driving the talent agenda. What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications): Typically has 8-10 years prior experience in Data and Analytics engineering Bachelors Degree or equivalent engineering skillset, training, or technical work experience Technology experience with: Cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred) Snowflake Azure Data Lake Storage Databricks Python, DS libraries like Pandas PowerBI AI/ML - Knowledge graphs, RAG, GenAI, AI/ML Models Experience with: Source code control (e.g. GitHub) Continuous integration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) Problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex technical problems Ability to quickly learn and utilize new technologies and concepts Strong champion of DevSecOps and Engineering practices. Proven success in meeting business objectives/project goals and delivering technology - well organized individual able to hold people accountable for results. An enabler of DevOps mindset/approach for modernized and legacy systems to co-exist Experience managing and mentoring Junior to Mid-Level engineers Preferred Qualifications: Prior retailanalytics experience Experience with a matrixed management organization Strong knowledge of the solution delivery lifecycle including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, agile development methodologies, use of product team structures, and/or other applicable methodologies.
