MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific About the Role: Position Title : Asst. Vice President/ Manager Corporate Title: AVP Reporting to: Vice President-DH Location: Bangalore/ Mumbai Job Profile Purpose of Role: Control and monitoring of operations to ensure smooth and proper functioning of the department consisting of all products including MIS and data maintenance for internal reporting. To manage the team, approve transactions and execute daily transactions to ensure customers transactions are processed in a timely manner. Also, providing inputs to operations processes or system enhancement for operational efficiency and conducting robust investigation on incidents to mitigate operations risks. Maintain healthy competition, promote interactive knowledge sharing sessions in the department, encourage staff to showcase innovative ideas and talent and recognize and reward deserving staff. Main Responsibilities: Strategic Support the development of the department's strategy. Financial Customer: To attend Customer Requirement and ensure proper Customer Service Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders within MUFG. Work in collaboration with CSD and front team and Product Offices/owners to understand unique transactions and assist in arriving at solutions and support the development of transaction processing with respective stakeholders. Support the team to coordinate information to responding a timely matter to auditors and regulators. People: Responsible for managing (objective setting & performance management), developing (coaching, career progression & training) and rewarding (financial and non- financial reward proposals) Direct Reports. Act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies / guidelines. Support developmental projects relating to the Department Support, coach and guide team on complex issues. Liaison with Business team, Legal, Credit & Audit department for timely & quality deliverables of assistance / services. Train and prepare backup at various levels for uninterrupted department functions. Other/Control: Provide input into regional and local Operations processes and workflows to deliver best practice, efficiency and mitigate risk. Review and approve daily deposit transactions. To attend Internal and External Audits/ Inspections pertaining to the Dept. and resolve all objections promptly with report on compliance to Management. To Report the Superiors any weaknesses, in- sufficiency or improper control found with a view to safeguard the Bank's interest. Review reports prepared by the team including but not limited to MIS, exceptional handling reports, incident and overdue reports. Review and analyze exceptional handling transaction requests to ensure the transaction processes are in compliance with MUFG policies and regulations. Support to investigate any incidents within the department by preparing incident reports and providing recommendations to mitigate risk in the future. Develop departmental initiatives to drive process and system improvement / efficiency. Participate in relevant committees within Branch. Manage the operation risk profile of the departments by ensuring the team understands MUFG policies and local regulations in order to process sound transaction payments to customers in a timely manner. Lead and oversee internal and external audits by coordinating activities for the department. Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations. Act as a trusted advisor to management/leadership team on transactions related topics Candidate Profile Skills & Knowledge: Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience with domain expertise. Strong communication and presentation skills Strong coaching and leadership skills to manage a team. Substantial experience in Operations, specifically for Deposit transactions. Strong knowledge of operations systems to understand transaction process.
