Marketing Manager - Family Run Hotel Group
Gecko Hospitality are working on behalf of this Hotel group in its search for a Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for our family of hotels. This role will focus on driving brand awareness, multi-channel engagement, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to create cohesive marketing communications that align with the overall objectives of the hotel and each department.
About the role
The Hotel group are dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for the thousands of guests who visit the seven hotels and two activity centres across Scotland.
As the Marketing Manager, you will be at the core of the marketing team, leading traditional marketing and communication efforts tailored to the leisure guests, corporate clients, and country club members.
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the properties across the group. Your key responsibilities will include managing traditional marketing communications such as Out-of-Home advertising, coordinating with our PR agency, and developing email marketing strategies in partnership with our Marketing Executive. Additionally, you will organise press events and ensure that each of our hotels has the media coverage and marketing channels needed for success.
What do you to bring to the table?
You will work across all seven hotels within the group, including outdoor activities, managing the creation, development, and implementation of the leisure marketing plan. Collaborating with the Head of Marketing and Digital Marketing Manager, youll set the strategy, develop campaign ideas, understand guest segmentation, and manage media buying and briefing.
You will bring fresh ideas to ensure the hotels, activity centres, and brand are always visible, using a range of strategies including Out-of-Home and PR campaigns, press activities, in-hotel marketing, as well as TV and radio.
You will lead cross-departmental relationships to deliver an engaging email experience for business and subscribers. Working with Revenue, Sales, in-hotel teams, and others, youll ensure the messages strike a balance between brand identity and commercial goals. Additionally, youll collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to align and execute campaign messages and deliverables.
Working with our Events and Business Development team, youll help develop the marketing strategy for our MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and wedding offerings.
You will also collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager and wider team to integrate your messages into the social media plan, maximising engagement across all social media campaigns.
Passionate about promoting the group, youll actively seek partnerships with like-minded organisations to introduce new audiences to our brand.
You will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to drive customer acquisition across all channels, demonstrating a deep understanding of a well- executed marketing funnel.
What we are looking for
This isnt your first Marketing Manager role. Youre results-driven, with a proven track record of identifying and implementing strategies to grow revenue, maximise commercial opportunities, meet and exceed customer expectations, adapt to evolving trends, and expand audience reach.
Experience in hospitality is preferred but not essential.
Strong strategic leadership and team management skills.
A successful track record of meeting revenue targets and understand the marketing funnel, sales techniques and execution tactics to increase visibility.
Creative and innovative thinker, capable of designing unique and compelling travel marketing campaigns.
Experience using CRM systems for reporting, research, and insights.
A growth mindset: youre eager to learn, develop, and explore new approaches. The group will support your drive to expand your knowledge.
Proven ability to influence multiple senior stakeholders across the commercial team and senior leadership.
Excellent organisational skills, essential for juggling multiple projects, managing partners, and supporting the team effectively.
