Job Title: HR Advisor – Schools
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid - Auxilium House / school sites with some home working
Salary: £18,523 - £19,730 (actual salary for 22.5 hrs/wk, FTE £30,461 - £32,446)
Contract: Permanent

Are you a skilled HR professional ready to make a difference in schools and academies? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join our team, providing expert HR support and guidance on a wide range of HR topics.
As an HR Advisor, you’ll work with school leaders to address complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary matters, grievances, sickness absence, TUPE, redundancy, appraisal, and capability processes. You’ll work both remotely and onsite, building relationships with clients and acting as an investigating officer on various employment matters. Additionally, you'll play a key role in the development of HR policies tailored to the school environment and collaborate closely with Trade Union representatives. We’re looking for someone who can design and deliver engaging training sessions on HR topics for our clients, helping schools navigate the intricacies of HR management with confidence.
About You
You’re an experienced HR professional with a proven track record of managing complex HR casework, ideally CIPD-qualified (or with equivalent experience). You understand employment law and have outstanding interpersonal and time-management skills. While experience in the education sector is beneficial, we welcome applicants from varied backgrounds who have handled complex HR issues.
Your role will involve some travel throughout Herefordshire, attending onsite meetings as required – often at short notice. A valid driver’s license and access to your own transport are essential.
