Job Description
The Company:
* A Flexible Packaging Extruder and Convertor of high quality performance films manufacturing to ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations, supplying both trade, convertors and end users throughout the country. They have recently been acquired by a highly ambitious and successful investment group, making this a very exciting time for the business and its future development and growth.

* Business Development Manager
Territory:
* UK wide can reside anywhere as will be a home setup
Job Purpose:
* This is an exclusively external role developing new business sales for the company, though there may be some account management and support required that suits the business needs from time to time as deemed necessary by The Sales Director. The candidate must be able to demonstrate extensive external sales experience and use to working independently from the business unit with minimal supervision, though help and support will be always available. The candidate must be able to plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer / prospect contact, managing personal time and productivity efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering and exceeding monthly and annual sales revenue and contribution margin budgets. Develop detailed knowledge of new business opportunities and markets that fit the business manufacturing capabilities and needs
* Manage and maintain a robust pipeline process through active prospecting, through self-lead generation using existing market knowledge, experience and internet support. Maintain accurate, comprehensive and real time Pipeline and Forecast records
* Ensure collaboration with the internal teams (including Technical, Operations, Quality, Planning, Sales, Customer Service, Commercial), as well as with the other parts of the organisation, to ensure customer service levels and customer satisfaction are optimised.
* Stay informed about market opportunities and developments to help leverage competitive advantage, and feedback market intelligence on a regular basis.
* Deliver regular feedback regarding market forces and competitor activities.
Person Specification:
* Highly results focused with a winning mind set and can-do attitude
* Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all times with great attention to detail.
* Excellent project management skills and a strategic and innovative thinker.
* Organised and calm under pressure, friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player.
* Professional, proactive, positive, enthusiastic – Commercially aware, leading by example.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience gained in polythene packaging with a customer facing role
* Knowledge of extrusion and converting would be a distinct advantage.
* Must be able to demonstrate new business attainment and used to working to demanding sales targets.
* Experience of selling, Shrink Films, Mailing Films, Pallet Covers, Liners and Sacks to both the Industrial and Food Grade markets would be beneficial.
Salary & Benefits:
* £55,000 to £60,000 depending on experience with bonus and company car.
