Senior Credit Controller

Hamilton Woods are currently working with a well established manufacturing business based in Birmingham. As the Senior Credit Controller you will have experience in a supervisory position and be responsible for effective and efficient management / monitoring of a portfolio ledger.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure effective control of customers by monitoring shortfalls and taking appropriate action.
Collect payments according to agreed terms, achieve cash collection targets and resolve and minimise overdue debts.
Operate as the Senior point of contact for the Credit Control team.
Ability to build great relationships with both external customers and internal teams at all levels within the business.
Monitor large queries ensuring that issues are progressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Escalate any serious concerns accordingly.
Review payment plans when requested.
Regular review calls and some face-to-face meetings with customers.
Ensure emails are actioned in a timely manner and customer account information is accurate and regularly updated with digital contacts at every opportunity.
Complete monthly cash forecast and pre-call on all high value amounts above agreed threshold.Essential Skills:
At least 3 years experience as a Senior Credit Controller/Credit Manager (to include supervising at least one colleague)
Experience with Insured Debt.
Knowledge/experience using SAP.
Strong communication skills, capable of building effective, long-term relationships.
Enjoys interaction with internal and external customer focus.
Competent user of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Ability to manage and prioritise workloads in a fast paced environment.
