Facilities Maintenance Technician

Our client is recruiting for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team in West Sussex.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of equipment and systems across their facility and support a safe, productive working environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and Implement Maintenance Procedures: Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all systems to reduce downtime and extend asset lifespan.
• Routine Inspections: Regularly inspect critical systems, including HVAC and electrical, to identify potential issues.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage spare parts and supplies to ensure stock availability.
• Emergency Response: Provide emergency repairs and maintenance when required.
• Water Hygiene Monitoring: Conduct routine water testing, including Legionella monitoring, ensuring compliance with health standards.
• Goods-In Holiday Cover: Assist with receiving and inspecting supplies during peak periods.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a similar, maintenance role
• NVQ level 3 in electrical or mechanical maintenance
• Proficiency in maintenance software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to read technical manuals
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach and solid organizational abilities
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
