Job Description
The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.
We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join us as a Project Co-ordinator on a fixed term (until July 2025), full time (35 hours per week) basis.
As a Project Co-ordinator you will oversee the delivery of our alternative education project for young people who are excluded or at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. To support learners, address their emotional and behavioural barriers to learning and enable their progression into further education, employment, or training. To work in partnership with Manchester Secondary Pupil Referral Unit. To line manage a small team of project workers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Level 3 Youth Work / Teaching qualification or equivalent.
Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.
Proven experience of delivering curriculum to young people.
Appropriate experience in leading and managing education programmes with young people.
The ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
Ability to foster a culture of positive teamwork.
Ability to work independently to achieve positive outcomes for learners.
Confident IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
