Additionally, they hold sponsors accountable for realising the benefits, ensuring that the value promised in the business case is achieved. As a Senior EPMO Analyst, you will act as the deputy to the Senior EPMO Manager, making critical decisions in their absence. This role involves significant responsibility, as your decisions can influence the allocation of millions of pounds of capital and determine which projects are ultimately delivered. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a substantial impact within the organization.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for a section of the Transformation Delivery Portfolio of change, focusing on managing and improving several key areas. You will oversee the governance and stage gate lifecycle, ensuring that projects progress smoothly through each phase. Effective management of risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) will be crucial to mitigate potential challenges and ensure project success.
You will also be tasked with producing regular project status reports, providing clear and concise updates on progress. Pipeline management will be another critical aspect, where you will ensure that the flow of projects is well-organised and prioritised. Additionally, you will handle resource allocation, demand, and capacity planning to ensure that projects have the necessary resources to be completed efficiently.
Maintaining accurate project data in the PPM system will be essential, as well as conducting regular check-ins and project health checks to monitor ongoing progress. You will manage finance trackers to keep a close eye on project budgets and expenditures. In the absence of the Senior EPMO Manager, you will deputise and make important decisions to keep projects on track.
A broad understanding of the purpose of the projects in the portfolio and their interdependencies will be necessary to support effective project management. You will also be responsible for ad hoc project and programme reporting, providing insights and updates as needed. This role offers a dynamic and impactful opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of transformational projects.
What you'll need to succeed

Experience of working within EPMO functions is crucial. You should be adept at managing RAID logs and supporting Delivery Leads across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This experience will help you navigate the various challenges that arise during project delivery.
Advanced Excel skills are essential for this role. You should be comfortable with Nested IF Statements, pivot tables, and XLookups. Proficiency in VBA is highly desirable, as it will enable you to automate and streamline processes effectively.
