A cluster of Alternative Provision (AP) schools spread across the Wirral area, dedicated to providing tailored education to students who have faced challenges in traditional school settings are looking for a teacher for one of their sites. Their mission is to help these young people overcome barriers to learning, enabling them to reintegrate into mainstream education or progress into a sustained Post 16 pathway.
The Role:
As a Teacher in an AP school, you will play a vital role in shaping the futures of the students. You will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to small classes, providing a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages each student to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Teach a range of subjects to small groups, adapting lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
Student Support: Work closely with students to identify and break down barriers to learning, fostering a positive attitude towards education.
Progress Monitoring: Track student progress and work collaboratively with colleagues to develop strategies for improvement.
Parental and Multi-Agency Engagement: Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Reintegration and Transition: Support students in their transition back to mainstream school or into further education, training, or employment.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
