We are seeking a Director of Devlopment to join our organization.

Role Description:

Join our dynamic team as the Director of Development and take the lead in shaping the future of Bebashi Transition To Hope. As the driving force behind our fundraising initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in securing financial support, building strategic partnerships, and elevating our organization's impact. We are seeking a visionary leader with a passion for social change and a proven track record in nonprofit development.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Fundraising Leadership:
  • Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer to set annual fundraising and marketing goals.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising plan, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporations.
  • Secure financial support through compelling proposals, presentations, and relationship-building strategies.
Team Management:
  • Provide effective supervision to the Development Assistant, Grant Writer, and any interns assigned to the department.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Brand Development and Marketing:
  • Devise and implement branding and marketing strategies to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Oversee the management of the social media platforms and campaigns to engage and expand our audience.
Proposal Development and Reporting:
  • Develop, track, and submit proposals, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for foundation and corporate fundraising.
  • Oversee regular donor mail solicitation campaigns.
Donor Engagement:
  • Strategize and execute plans to increase a sustained base of annual individual donors.
  • Organize and oversee fundraising events, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing donor participation.
Board Development and Management:
  • Assist in the development and management of the Board, particularly in the area of fundraising.
  • Plan and execute at least one annual large-scale fundraising event, including obtaining corporate sponsorships.
Communication and Reporting:
  • Provide regular activity reports for the Chief Executive Officer and the Development Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Actively participate in the Development Committee of the Board of Directors.
Community Engagement:
  • Ensure Bebashi Transition To Hope is widely known and recognized throughout the Philadelphia region, facilitating engagement with potential funders and donors.

Experience and Skills

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or nonprofit management (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in nonprofit development, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated success in individual, foundation, and corporate giving strategy creation and execution.
  • Proficiency in fundraising software (e.g., Raiser's Edge) and Microsoft Office 365.
