The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) is accountable for the project objectives that drive technology, clinical and operational digital transformation, customer experience, and other activities as assigned by the Project sponsor.


The Sr. PM defines needs for resource allocations, influences sponsors and manages work prioritization. They play an active role in facilitating decision making on human resource utilization as well as technical and financial resources necessary to implement change for high impact environments. They facilitate designing processes and structures to support CommonSpirit Health enterprise wide change.


The Sr. PM is expected to work autonomously and have minimal interaction with HR/Project Leader with regards to program management methodology. Through collaboration, demonstrate team leadership while focusing on items that will have project outcome implications other than expected.


The Sr. PM is a contributor of early engagement, project related gap analysis and operationalizing change management. Will include innovating project lifecycle delivery, promoting successful relationship management and customer adoption. They are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management lifecycle methodology. They are assigned to medium or large projects. Will be assigned to multiple projects, with rare exceptions and can be assigned as a contributor PM on programs.


Responsibilities


The role is a key contributor in the development of the organization’s innovation and digital transformation strategy and is responsible and accountable for delivering the best-practice approach designed to successfully plan and prepare for all aspects of project engagement, delivery and adoption within the assigned portfolio.


Essential Key Job Responsibilities




  • Defines project scope, objectives, key resources, budget and schedule (project plan) in support of multiple projects or a program .




  • Measuring project performance, reporting, and escalating in support of multiple projects or a program.




  • Leads complex enterprise level projects or serves as program manager.




  • Follows the CommonSpirit Health project management methodology, accountable for the detailed planning of steps and resources needed to meet the objectives. This includes application of financial and accounting standards to manage budget.




  • Monitors and prepares reports to ensure work is progressing to meet the deliverables on time and under budget.




  • Manages multiple medium or large complex, capital and non-capital IT projects simultaneously.




  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope.




  • Effectively applies the organization’s project management methodology and enforces project standards.




  • Ensures that in-flight reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all projects.




  • Minimizes organization’s exposure and risk on projects.




  • Solves conflicts and issues in a timely manner, escalating to manager as appropriate.




  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.




  • Manages project budget. Ensures quality control for all projects.




  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to leadership, including but not limited to sponsors.




  • Provides leadership to Project Managers, Associate Project Managers or Analysts.




  • Provides leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, as well as manages work of outside consultants.




  • Contributes to, reviews and coordinates outside consultant Statements of Work (SOWs).

Qualifications


Bachelors Preferred


2 or more relevant technical/professional security certifications preferred


4-5 years job related experience required


5+ years job related experience preferred


Pay Range


$46.96 - $68.10 /hour
