Job Summary:
The Desktop Support Specialist will work directly with the Director of IT and will provide onsite and remote support to staff throughout the United States. This person will collaboratively work with other members of the IT team to help us provide best-in-class technical services for our diverse internal customer base.

Essential Functions:
  • Monitor Atera ticketing system for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out and user priority to track and solve user issues.
  • Assisting with user Onboarding and Offboarding
  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system-related concerns from remote and onsite employees.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues with staff via phone, chat, electronically, and in person.
  • Track customer issues and resolutions and assure tickets are addressed and closed timely
  • Basic administration for applications and systems such as VMware, Bartender, Tenable, Synology.
  • Install and configures software and hardware updates or patches on computer systems and applications within the company.
  • Administration support for Microsoft Office Suite, operating systems Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OS, iPhone, network drives, printers, phone system, Client PC Connectivity, and PC Peripherals.
  • Imaging Windows 10 and 11 Laptop
  • Hardware and software assets maintenance for IT.
  • Set up and deploy new user workstations or accounts, re-configure computer systems and applications, device management, and terminate user accounts within the company.
  • Ability to build and repair a PC with troubleshooting and testing skills.
  • Set up and deploy user accounts using active directory services, generated user mailboxes
  • Ensures systems and workstations are compliant with organization policies and security standards.
  • Provide customer support for users and resolve system security issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, associate degree in computer science or related field preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting malfunctions with personal computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Mac OS and Office products.
  • MSCE, A+ Certification or equivalent hardware certification preferred.

Competencies:
  • Must be highly competent with computers and other hardware devices.
  • Exceptional Customer Service and effective communication skills.
  • Effective troubleshooting, follow through, and problem resolution abilities.
  • Must be proactive, organized, able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Strong Work Ethic and positive attitude.
  • May require PPE and periodic exposure to low dose radiation.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a professional office environment and typical manufacturing plant environment.
  • Standard workdays are Monday - Friday, may require some scheduled evenings and weekend work (project based).
