Summary of Role:
Serena & Lily is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our executive team. The CTO will play a critical role as an executive partner, developing and driving the successful implementation of a forward-thinking technology strategy that supports the achievement of our business goals. This role is essential for leveraging technology as a key enabler for organizational success.
Technology Organization Structure: Serena & Lily's technology division is diverse and distributed, organized into four key groups:
The team comprises a balanced mix of permanent staff located across various U.S. locations and contract roles primarily based in Central and South America. The CTO will lead and mentor a department of approximately 60 resources.

- Back-End Systems: ERP, Finance, Warehousing, Logistics, and Data Integrations
- Data Analytics
- Technology Operations: Helpdesk, Networking, Telecom, Security

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision: Empower strategic business growth through thoughtful and future-oriented technology roadmap development and execution.
- Omni Channel Retail Expertise: Leverage deep functional knowledge of omni channel retail operations to align technology initiatives with business needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary interface for various stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across teams.
- Technology Standards: Establish and uphold technology standards across all platforms, ensuring the highest levels of quality, agility, and performance.
- Leadership & Culture: Provide strong leadership to the Technology team, fostering a culture that reflects Serena & Lily's core values of a candid, collaborative and curious culture. Exhibit a focus on attracting, retaining, and developing top-tier technology talent.
- Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems with effective and elegant solutions.
- Agility & Prioritization: Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing and leading at all levels of the organization.
- Operational Insight: Broad knowledge of operations and processes, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with business needs.
- Technical Acumen: Strong grasp of application architectures, development processes, and the ability to guide teams on key decisions and priorities.
- Omni Channel Retail Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of omni channel retail, including DTC front-end, store systems, fulfillment, logistics, warehousing, and operations as well as systems that support a single view of the customer and her journey across marketing and transaction channels.
- Security & Compliance: Extensive experience in digital security and fraud prevention, ensuring the safety and integrity of all platforms.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking, desktop operations, and telecommunications.
- Contract Management: Proven experience in negotiating software and development resource contracts, securing favorable terms for the company.
- Educational Background: A four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.
COMPENSATION:
- $325K- $350K per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.
- Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena & Lily's benefits. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. During the first year of employment, full-time employees accrue twenty-one days of PTO and seven paid holidays throughout the year.
