Job Description
**Job Title:** Interventional Radiology Technician
**Job Specialty:** Interventional Radiology (IR)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 10-hour days, 0700-1730, with call requirements
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology
**License:** Not required to submit
**Certifications:** ARRT, BLS
**Must-Have:** IR experience required
**Job Description:**
- Work in a department with 2 IR suites, performing procedures such as biopsies, chest tubes, angiograms, port placements, GJ placements, permCaths, temporary dialysis, and fistulagrams.
- Manage an average of 10-15 scans/studies per day using Cerner EMR and PACS systems.
- Operate department-specific equipment, including Philips Allura Clarity Xper FD20 and Siemens Axiom Artis FA.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse and lead tech who are present each shift.
- Interventional radiologist available in-house; however, no IV starts are required.
- Enjoy day shifts, Monday to Friday, with no floating required to other areas.
- Participate in call duties: 1-2 times per week on weekdays, primary call one weekend per month. No holiday call requirements. Call response time is 30 minutes.
- Follow the dress code with OR scrubs provided by the hospital.
- Complete a department-specific orientation with 12 orientation hours.
- Note the hospital can cancel up to 3 times per contract, which may include full or partial shift cancellations, with potential pay for the canceled hours.
