Role Description : At Delta Air Lines, we are continually looking to embrace new technologies and improve the customer experience. To further this objective, we are seeking a Mobile App Engineer to join Enterprise Mobility, Deltas mobile development group for in-house mobile applications. Enterprise Mobility builds mobile solutions for our front-line Delta employees, including our Pilots and Flight Attendants, Tech Ops employees and Airport Customer Service employees. We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing solutions for real-world, large-scale problems. About the Enterprise Mobility team : - We're a diverse team supporting our front-line employees such as Flight Attendants and Pilots, striving to make their lives easier so that they can focus on delivering value to our customers. - Several of our mobile applications are used by Flight Attendants while on the aircraft to service our customers as well as generate revenue from onboard sales, thus critical to the customer experience. - We partner with business units on specific initiatives, but also run our own initiatives, including improving the mobile platform capabilities at Delta, and researching new trends in our industry. - Our team values are Inclusivity, Agility, Curiosity, Futurism, and : a. Work with a team of engineers and cross-divisionally with our partners to build mobile solutions for iOS and Android. - Cross-Platform applications for both iOS and Android built using .NET MAUI - Native iOS applications built using Swift/SwiftUI b. Deliver against the long-term vision for the Delta Air Line mobile experience, with the goal of simplifying the experience for employees and supporting efforts to improve the experience of our customers. c. Build mobile apps based on UX process and collaborate with design teams. d. Work as a valued squad member in an Agile environment, while contributing to the larger Digital Mobile domain at Delta to improve processes, capabilities and toolkits. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) : - Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience - Highly skilled in Microsoft Cross-Platform Mobile technologies (Xamarin Forms and .NET MAUI), good understanding of design patterns, working knowledge in cloud-native technologies is desired. - 6 Years of Swift/SwiftUI. - Experience with Combine, XCUITests, asynchronous programming techniques, Swift Data, Core Data, caching mechanisms. - Strong in design patterns. - Experience in GIT and DevOps pipeline including TDD and test automation. - A good understanding of Agile Methodology is required. - Must have the ability to work well with multiple teams in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision, be results oriented and capable of meeting deadlines with attention to detail and follow through. - Exhibit skills valued by our team : a. Technical Expertise - Knowledge/Experienced with interface design tools such as Figma. - Experience and familiarity addressing technical audiences, as well as interacting with business stakeholders and Product Owners. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) : - Working knowledge of AWS, Node.js and lambdas is desired but not required. - Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB. - A doer by default : You are self-motivated and take pride in building great experiences for users, whether they are employees or customers. You are resourceful in finding the data and tools you need to get the job done and have a bias for action. - You enjoy working with people and can put yourself in other people's shoes.
