Location: Nottingham
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant / 1:1 and Group work
Salary: £85.00 - £90.00 Per Day
Hours: Full Time, Part time, 8:30am-15:30pm.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Smile Education are working with a number of SEND schools across the Nottingham and Derby area. The schools we support cater for children in primary, secondary and post 16 provisions and children with ASD, ADHD, MLD, complex needs and SEMH needs. Due to the nature of the role and our vetting requirements, prior experience supporting children is essential in order to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students during lessons and activities.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individual learning plans/ EHCPs
Help students develop social skills and independence.
Communicate effectively with the student, parents, and educational staff.
Requirements:
Professional experience working with and supporting children.
Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude.
Ability to provide personal care with sensitivity and respect.
Patience and resilience in challenging situations.
Relevant qualifications in childcare or special education (preferred).
Be able to provide 24 months’ worth of references
A valid DBS check (if you do not have one, we can support you with your application).
