Position: Construction Support Staff
Duration: 2 - 3 years
Location: Crewe, Cheshire
Company Overview: Our client is a leading construction firm dedicated to ensuring the safety and quality of buildings. We are seeking a Support Staff member to assist their Building Surveyors in evaluating and assessing building structures.
Role Overview:
As a Support Staff member, you will be an integral part of our Building Surveying team, providing essential assistance and support in assessing the structural integrity of buildings. This is a temporary role with a duration of three years, aimed at aiding our surveyors in their critical work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with Building Surveyors to assist in evaluating building structures.
• Conduct on-site visits and inspections to gather relevant data and information.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and assessments based on findings.
• Aid in analysing and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
• Coordinate and liaise with various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and engineers, as necessary.
• Help maintain accurate records of assessments, inspections, and findings.
• Support the surveying team in administrative tasks and project coordination.
Requirements:
• Background or education in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools for data collection and report preparation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to gathering and documenting information.
