Job Purpose
Ensure compliance to legal requirements, industry standards and customer requirements, ensuring quality, safety, legality of products and site operations. This role is pivotal to driving continuous improvement and promoting a positive food safety and quality culture across our site operations.

Are you comfortable with your performance in;-
Providing technical expertise and ensure implementation and compliance with food safety & quality management procedures throughout the business.
Ensure the site operates in compliance with regulations, customer requirements and certifications standards.
Ensure operational and technical integrity and foster a positive food safety and quality culture across all departments within the organization.
Managing validation and ongoing verification of preventive controls.
Completing risk assessments as part of the ongoing maintenance of the site’s food safety and quality management system.
being responsible for day-to-day implementation and maintenance of the Site’s HACCP, TACCP and VACCP controls. Deputy HACCP, TACCP and VACCP team’s lead.
Managing overall service levels, complaints investigation, concessions, product conformance and rejections, including root cause analysis and corrective action plan completion.
Managing the internal audit schedule to verify compliance with HACCP Systems, Quality Management Systems, and legal/customer requirements.
Supporting the Senior Technical Manager in facilitating external audits and customer visits.
Co-hosting external audits such as BRC and customer audits.
Management, coaching and development of the QC function and Hygiene function.
Driving overall improvement of the GMP standards across the site.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects as part of the Technical Strategy.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications or Experience Required:
Food Science or similar degree (desirable)
Minimum 5yrs food manufacturing experience in a similar role (preferably within a BRC certified setting)
Minimum Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP (essential)
BRC auditor qualification (desirable)
Experience of BRCGS and Customer/retailer standards
People management experience
