Job Description
Join a leading Tier 1 Contractor with a robust pipeline of high-profile projects!
We are looking for a Senior Planner or aspiring Planning Manager to oversee a newly awarded £44Million Industrial project in Manchester.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can ensure they have a comprehensive grasp of project dynamics, setting the foundation for successful planning, execution, and achievement of project objectives.
You will be working alongside the Project Manager with a dotted line in the Group Head of Planning
Are you currently based in Manchester or in the North within commuting distance?
This role will be based on site 5 days a week – Please note there will be NO option of remote working
Key Responsibilities:
* •Prepare, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring all phases of construction are accounted for.
* •Collaborate with project managers to develop realistic timelines and milestones, identifying critical paths and potential bottlenecks.
* •Utilize your planning expertise to support the successful execution of complex projects.
* •Contribute to monthly progress reporting and oversee project/programme planning from initiation to completion.
Requirements:
* •4-6 years of planning experience with a Main Contractor
* •Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera and Microsoft Project.
* •Previous experience in large-scale projects, ideally within Pharma, Data Centre, Hi-Tech, Distribution, or Warehouse sectors.
* •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
