Role:
We are seeking a Director of Golf to lead and manage the golf operations within our business. The ideal candidate will work at both a strategic and operational level, overseeing and continually improving all areas of the golf department. This role requires setting a clear vision for the business's strategic growth, while personally driving new sales and marketing opportunities. A strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maximising both revenue and profitability is essential.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of golf, the golf industry and familiarity with England Golf and the World Handicap System (WHS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a pragmatic approach to decision-making.
Strong capability in terms of managing budgets, preparing accurate financial information and understanding management accounts and P&L reports.
High level of commercial acumen is essential, ideally demonstrated by a proven track record of contributing significantly to promotional, sales, and marketing campaigns in previous roles.
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong people management and leadership skills.
Proficient in IT. A working knowledge of BRS Golf and Club Systems would be an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
