About The White Hart:

The White Hart is a beautiful and historic pub located in the heart of Whitchurch. This popular pub boasts a loyal local following and attracts visitors from further afield with its delicious food, well-kept Arkell's beers, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The pub contains a total of 15 letting rooms, All the rooms at the White Hart have individual character offering a versatile amount of accommodation.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic General Manager to lead the team at The White Hart. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the pub, ensuring that our customers receive the highest standard of service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing all aspects of the pub's operation, including:

• Financial performance:managing budgets, maximizing revenue and profitability
• Stock control:ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels
• Staff management:recruiting, training, and motivating your team
• Customer service:ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with regulars
• Marketing and events:promoting the pub and organizing events to attract new customers
• Compliance:adhering to all relevant licensing laws and health and safety regulations
• Maintaining the pub's appearance:ensuring the pub is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a successful General Manager or Assistant Manager in a busy pub environment
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Strong financial and business acumen
• A genuine enthusiasm for real ale and pub culture
• A personal license holder
• Knowledge of food hygiene regulations
