Siemens Mobility has four core business units: Mobility Management, dedicated to rail technology and intelligent traffic systems, Railway Electrification, Rolling Stock, and Customer Services. In Rail, we enable operators to shape today's and tomorrow's passenger and freight transportation - with trains, infrastructure, automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems as well as related services. That covers trams, light rail, metro, commuter and regional trains, high-speed and very high-speed trains. In Rolling Stock, public transportation must ensure that passengers are transported safely and comfortably while also meeting economic and environmental requirements. And passengers expect a comprehensive offering of information, entertainment and communication. Siemens Mobility has taken all of these factors into account in developing its vehicles, locomotives and automated people movers (VAL systems).

Whilst on the Apprenticeship you will be following an apprenticeship standard ST0318 Rail Engineering Technician, Traction and Rolling Stock Pathway.

We will create a personalised training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of your programme, you will be equipped with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to kickstart your professional career here at Siemens Mobility.

- Application and mobile platform development.
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding enabling trains to enter passenger service within tight deadlines.
- Develop and provide sustainable rolling stock solutions in all areas of rail transportation.
We are seeking innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following;
- You will have achieved or be on track to achieve at least 5 GCSE's grade 4 or above including Maths and English Language.
- It is preferred that you do not have a Level 2 PEO (Performing Engineering Operations)
- Level 3 Engineering Diploma (BTEC)
- Level 3 AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering)
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
