About the role
Driver Hire are currently recruiting Class 2 Skip Hire Drivers for their client who are a well-established skip hire company, offering reliable and efficient waste disposal services across Derbyshire. They pride themselves on their commitment to customer satisfaction, safety, and maintaining a professional fleet of vehicles.
As a Class 2 Skip Hire Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of skips to residential and commercial customers. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and collections, providing exceptional customer service, and adhering to all safety and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate a Class 2 vehicle (HGV) to deliver and collect skips to/from various locations.
* Ensure that all skip collections and deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner.
* Maintain high levels of customer service when interacting with customers on-site.
* Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and report any faults or issues.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, including correct loading and unloading of skips.
* Assist with manual handling when required, including securing skips and ensuring safe placement.
* Keep accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any incidents.
Requirements
* Valid UK Class 2 (C) HGV License with CPC certification.
* Previous experience driving skip or waste vehicles is preferred
