Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bracknell
Salary: £83.85 - £95 per day
Contract: Temporary, Flexible Hours
Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants. No prior experience is necessary, but a compassionate approach and a commitment to supporting children’s development are essential!
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for SEN students
Assist children with a range of special educational needs in their academic, social, and personal growth
Help implement individualized support plans tailored to each student’s unique requirements
Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance learning and engagement
Facilitate the use of adaptive tools, resources, and communication aids
Participate in school activities and events that support a holistic experience for SEN students

A compassionate, patient, and positive approach to working with children with diverse needs
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and connection with students, staff, and families
Adaptability and flexibility to work with varying age groups and adjust to each child’s specific requirements
A desire to learn about SEN practices and strategies, with a willingness to grow in this field
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SEN specialists, and other staff as part of a supportive team
Skills Required:
Basic understanding or willingness to learn about different special educational needs
Patience and resilience in managing challenging behaviors
Ability to adapt communication methods to support non-verbal or minimally verbal students
Observation skills to monitor and assess student progress
Basic IT skills for using assistive technology tools
