Full Time, Permanent, 45 Hour Contract

Base Salary of?£36,000 - 38,000Basic + Tronc (Circa£6,000)+ Up to?40% of Salary Bonus
Total package circa£55,000+

As Head Chef at Church On The Hill youll be delivering hearty, classic dishes created with locally-sourced seasonal Scottish produce. Here we are a local pub with elevated food, the menu offers up all-time favourites, a sell-out Sunday Roast and somethings more unique like our Scottish Tapas selection. All of which are complimented by an extensive bar including 14 unique taps and a wide array of cocktails and wines.

The local community is important to us and we work with the local businesses to make Glasgows Southside a better place for everyone. Families and Friends are welcome at our Church and the Head Chef plays a key role in keeping our offer fresh and excited.

Whilst much of this role is the day-to-day operation, youll need to be prepared to stretch when Sport & Entertainment are on at Hampden Stadium!

Duties

• Kitchen Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and presentation.
• Menu Development and Planning: Create and update menus to align with Church offer Seasonal Ingredients.
• Inventory and Cost Control: Manage food stocks and costs, order supplies based on forecasts and minimise waste.
• Staff Training and Supervision: Recruit, train and mentor kitchen staff. Set standards, assign tasks and manage rotas.
• Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure kitchen adheres to health and safety, sanitation, cleaning and storage of ingredients.

Required Skills

• Two years minimum of Head Chef experience
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Good Financial management skills
• Experience delivering themed events would be beneficial
