We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis. Our ideal candidate will inspire students to engage with the past and understand how historical events and figures shape our present and future.
Role Overview:
As a History Teacher at our school, you will deliver dynamic and engaging lessons that spark curiosity about historical events, individuals, and movements. You will play a key role in preparing students for their GCSE exams while helping them develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, thought-provoking history lessons.
* Prepare students for their GCSE History exams, focusing on key historical topics and skills.
* Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
* Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students' academic progress and achievement.
About You:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Possess a degree in History or a related field.
* Experience teaching History at GCSE level is preferred, but not essential.
* Strong classroom management skills and effective communication.
* A passion for bringing history to life and inspiring students to explore the past.
