This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) specializsng in Design Technology, Graphics, and/or Textiles. Key Responsibilities:
Teach Design Technology subjects, including Graphics and Textiles, to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to varying learning needs, ensuring all students have opportunities to succeed.
Encourage creativity and critical thinking, guiding students through the design process from conceptual ideas to final products.
Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
Implement practical activities and hands-on learning experiences that develop students' technical skills and understanding of design principles.
Contribute to curriculum development to ensure a relevant, high-quality, and engaging program for all learners.
Create and maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment, following health and safety protocols to ensure safe practices in practical sessions.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Design and Technology department to share resources, best practices, and innovative teaching strategies.
Support and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programs, including projects and design competitions, encouraging students to explore their creative interests.
Engage with parents and carers to discuss student progress and address any concerns, fostering strong home-school partnerships.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with the latest trends and developments in Design Technology education.
