Painter

Job Purpose: Interior and exterior painting; extra qualifiers/skills we are seeking wallpaper installers and special finishes. Duties: * Prepares surfaces by scraping; using commercial paint removers; filling cracks and holes; sizing plaster walls. * Maintains safe work procedures by erecting scaffolds, ladders, and safety barriers according to prescribed protocols. * Protects equipment, furniture, and floors by placing drop cloths. * Completes interior and exterior painting, decorating work, finishing, and wallpaper installation according to requirements. * Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
