We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Technician Assistant to join our team for our locations in the Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will assist the lead paint technician with various tasks related to the preparation, painting, and finishing of vehicles. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for automotive work.RequirementsKey Responsibilities/QualificationsPreparation:Assist in cleaning and preparing vehicles for painting by washing, sanding, and masking as required.Help in mixing and preparing paint according to the required specifications.Ensure all surfaces are properly prepared before painting, including minor repairs and touch-ups.Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure quality finishes and prevent contamination.Finishing:Assist in inspecting painted surfaces for defects and imperfections.Perform post-painting tasks such as polishing, buffing, and detailing to ensure a high-quality finish.Support in the reassembly of vehicle components post-painting.Maintenance:Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and kept in good working condition.Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.Assist in maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Vocational training or certification in automotive painting or related field is a plus.Experience: Previous experience in an automotive body shop or related environment preferred but not required.Familiarity with automotive paint processes and materials is an advantage.Skills: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.Basic understanding of automotive painting equipment and techniques.Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.Personal Attributes:Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
