Job Description The Account Manager Aftersales Market is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of spare parts and service contracts to existing and new Smiths Detection customers. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored after-sales solutions to support product lifecycle and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and have a strong understanding of spare parts and service contract sales. Duties & Responsibilities Sales of Spare Parts & Service Contracts - Actively sell spare parts and service contracts and other Aftersales Market solutions to existing and new Smiths Detection customers, meeting and exceeding sales targets. Develop leads into opportunities and sales orders by pro-actively communicating with lead/opportunity lists provided by Key Account Management director. Identify customer needs for replacement parts, upgrades, and extended service options, and provide solutions that enhance their operations. Prepare and deliver quotes, negotiate terms, and close sales for both spare parts and service contracts. Customer Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor for their after-sales needs. Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify new sales opportunities. Educate customers on the benefits of regular maintenance and the value of service contracts in maximizing their equipment's lifespan. Market & Product Knowledge - Maintain a deep understanding of the company's spare parts and service offerings, as well as industry trends and competitor products. Stay updated on product changes, service options, and new offerings to provide customers with the most relevant and current solutions. Analyze customer and market data to identify areas for growth in spare parts and service contract sales. Order Management & Fulfillment - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of spare parts orders and service contracts. Monitor order status and proactively communicate with customers about any delays or changes. Handle any issues related to parts orders, returns, or service contract adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction. Sales Reporting & Forecasting - Track and report on sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the company's sales tool and SAP. Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to management, identifying potential areas for improvement. Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights on customer needs and after-sales trends. Other duties as assigned. The Individual Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field Significant experience in lieu of degree considered Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales function Knowledge/skills: Proven experience in sales, customer service, or after-sales roles, ideally within the industrial, manufacturing, or technical service sectors. Knowledge of spare parts and service contracts, with the ability to understand technical product specifications. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality service. Results-driven and intrinsically motivated by meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Salary & Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from $37,505.00 - $112,515.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
