Vendor Account Manager is responsible for managing vendor engagement, performance management, and serves as the primary liaison for claims vendor services. The associate will collaborate with claims stakeholders to identify vendor partners that meet our qualitative requirements while supporting expense management. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker with strong communication & presentation skills and can effectively analyze metrics and identify trends to support productive vendor partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for administering pipeline for potential vendors, negotiating rates, and participating in the onboarding process
- Participates in the stewardship and vendor renewal process to ensure vendor adherence to our guidelines and expectations
- Gather data and run reports necessary to analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to measure and evaluate vendor performance
- Collaborate with claims stakeholders to understand business needs and participate in the creation of vendor project plans to address
- Assist in the Implementation of a reporting structure to analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to measure and evaluate vendor performance
- Primary point of contact for claims vendor service needs
- Prepare vendor performance success to be delivered to key partners, senior leaders, and associates
- Manage and maintain vendor database
- Maintain updated information on internal platforms to support departmental objectives
- Assist with departmental and organizational projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Claims designations and/or certifications preferred
- 3-5 years of account management, and/or property/casualty commercial insurance account management experience.
- Associate level Claims or insurance experience.
- Experience assisting with the management of vendor onboarding, stewardship, and performance management
- Proven ability to resolve issues with multiple stakeholders and maintain continuity of effective relationship management
- Comfortable participating in meetings with various stakeholder levels and excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Thinks innovatively about customer service and providing efficient solutions
- Operate with minimal supervision and comfortable working on a virtual team
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Flexibility and diligence
- Self-starter with a bias toward action and strong sense of personal accountability for results
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skill set that includes a collaborative approach
- Strong desire for continuous improvement

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The national average salary for the Account Manager, Claims Vendor Management is $52,000 - $76,230 with 20% bonus potential.
