Bring your fresh perspective, develop your strengths, break out your mold, and find a career that fits your dreams with us.Click on the link below to learn what our employees have to say about Evonik:https://careers.evonik.com/en/about/meet-the-team/REPONSIBILITIESControl or operate machinery/equipment to assist with material transfer, production processing and other chemical operations within the production process in a safe and efficient manner.Operate/monitor equipment such as reactors, filters, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, bag houses, spray dryers, compressors, etc.Must understand and comply with site ESHQ procedures, cGMP's and SOPs.Perform field quality tests and document in SPC program.Perform basic maintenance, changeover, set up, cleaning and troubleshooting of plant process equipment and process work areas.Correctly complete and submit work orders for equipment failures which requires maintenance.Transfer of finished goods within the Inventory Management System (SAP).Safely and properly operate a forklift .Maintain a good attendance record within policy guidelines. Must be able to work other shifts, weekends, alternative schedules when production demands require.Assist shipping department when needed.REQUIREMENTSHigh School education or General Equivalence Diploma required.Preferred candidate will have previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.Must possess a good attitude and strong work ethic &t be dependable with a high degree of integrity.Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work independently and perform in a fast-paced environment.Ability to effectively communicate between team members and other departments.Ability to work in a production environment where heat, cold, dust and discomfort are common.Be willing to work flexible schedule and overtime (nights and/or weekends when needed).Ability to lift 50lbs on an occasional basis.Ability to perform physical tasks for 12 hour periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting.Ability to frequently climb flights of stairs and ladders, of multi-level building •Ability to frequently mount and dismount fork truck.Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment, including safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, gloves and respirator when required.Experience with pumps, valves and motors preferred.The Evonik Group adopts an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) approach.
