Job Description
**Job Title:** Radiologic Technologist
**Job Specialty:** Computed Tomography
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks with possible extension
**Shift:** Two positions available; one 10-hour shift and the other 12-hour shift, required to work every 3rd weekend and on holidays if needed.
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40.00 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years
**License:** Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible.
**Certifications:** BLS
**Must-Have:** Required to perform CT scans, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate customer service excellence.
**Job Description:**
- Specialize in performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients.
- May conduct general diagnostic radiology examinations.
- Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
- Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations while obtaining additional patient medical history as necessary.
- Prepare the procedure room and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Analyze patient anatomical structure, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
- Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for reactions, providing immediate care if necessary.
- Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for procedures, ensuring adequate supply and proper storage.
- Assist Radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Demonstrate radiation protection principles by shielding patients and selecting appropriate equipment settings.
- Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
- Complete study indexing in the Radiology Information System.
- Review and confirm clinical protocols with Radiologists before performing studies.
- Maintain team member standards of excellence, including communication, respect, and teamwork.
- Document all related activities in medical and radiology systems to support clinical and billing functions.
- Work in hospital settings, potentially with fixed or mobile units, and adhere to safety precautions to minimize exposure to radiation and contagious patients.
