Job RequirementsPrior Cath Lab or Rad Tech experience.One year of experience.
Schedule InformationFive days per week, start and stop times are subject to the number of cases scheduled and the times they are scheduled.Shifts & Scheduling: 4- 10-hour shifts 7-10 days per 4-week schedule including one weekendWeeknight/Call Requirement: One week of on call per four week schedule.Weekend/Call Requirement: Friday after hours until Monday Morning 0700 (if not doing the Monday-Monday call time).Holiday/Call Requirement: RotationalIs there a mandatory call/standby requirement?: Yes, RN and Rad TechsCall response time: 30 minutes
Unit Specific InformationUnit: Cath Lab - RNCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Diagnostic left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP, Impella, Temporary pacemaker, TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, AIF, IVC filters, Infusaports, Permacaths, Vasc surgeon does procedures in cath lab- filters, venograms.Job Duties: Rad Techs scrub and assist physician, need to know sterile technique. Prefer EKOS experience but can train. RNs circulate, sedate, and complete documentation requirements.
Additional Details# Suites/labs: 2#cases per day on average: 10-15EMR/Equipment: Siemens software and equipmentCardiologist hours/on call: On Call 24-7Manager/Charge Nurse: Director, Coordinator and a Charge NurseCath Lab Techs: Yes, Rad TechsFloating Requirements: No- if extra hours wanted, there are units they can go to if they have experience.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Surgical attire- provided. Lead not provided.Unit/Department specific orientation: General hospital orientation, Nursing orientation, Computer training in the department, one week or up to 36 hours of orientation time to the department
