A Day in the Life of a Tax Preparer:

• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Assist associate and staff accountants with general tax return issues.
• Have direct contact with clients in various industries.
• Prepare and analyze tax planning projections.
• Quantify and document federal and state income tax liabilities for tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
• Perform research on technical tax issues.
• Respond to client inquiries and taxing authority notices.
• Stay updated on current accounting practices and changes in tax laws.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 2+ years of experience
• Experience with computer tax preparation, research, and planning software
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with good time management skills
