Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Website Marketing is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing the Dr. Phillips Center's website. This role is focused on building and updating web pages, implementing and measuring SEO strategies, and improving site functionality to ensure engaging and accessible user experience. This position requires innovative thinking, resourcefulness, and strong communication and collaborative skills to deliver on website performance goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Website Maintenance and Updates:
  • Build, launch, and update all new show, event and brand pages as needed and on time, working in conjunction with all internal stakeholders especially programming, box office, creative, communications, project management.
  • Update images across the site.
  • Manage website functionality, troubleshooting issues as needed; working with the digital marketing team, website agency, and other partners to identify and implement solutions.
  • In partnership with paid media, ensure landing pages deliver on campaign objectives.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for improved website performance through the implementation of website accessibility best practices and A/B testing.
Website Analytics & Reporting:
  • Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics and HotJar to provide regular reports on key metrics to stakeholders.
  • Partner with paid media to ensure proper tracking and reporting is in place.
  • Identify trends and insights to inform optimization strategies and enhance website performance.
  • Use data-driven approaches to recommend and implement improvements.
User Experience Optimization:
  • Leverage stakeholder and user feedback in conjunction with web analytics to identify website pain points and areas for improvement.
  • Define and prioritize UX/UI enhancements that optimize user flow, increase engagement, and drive conversion rates.
  • Continuously monitor website performance metrics and iterate on changes to improve overall user experience.
Search Engine Optimization
  • Work with Senior Manager, Digital Marketing on search engine optimization (SEO) strategy implementation and reporting to grow search traffic and conversions. Conduct keyword research, analyze and refresh website content, manage tools (Semrush) and agency resources.
  • Optimize web pages and site content such as the homepage, landing pages, blog posts, press releases, and show pages in terms of improving content quality, keyword optimization and user experience to boost organic search rankings.
  • Partner with the communications team to integrate on-page and off-page SEO (link building) through collaboration with content marketing, social media marketing, and digital PR initiatives.
  • Regularly track and monitor new and existing keyword ranking positions and devise integrated marketing strategies to increase organic search rankings. Measure and report on SEO performance through organic traffic, ranking positions, domain authority, and conversions.
  • Keep up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, tools and best practices
Other:
  • Follow and support all operational policies and procedures. Assimilate into the arts center culture through understanding, supporting and demonstrating the core values.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with other departments, colleagues, and partners.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy. Maintain Dr. Phillips Center standards of customer service at all times.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field. Minimum of four years' experience managing a website in a results-driven marketing environment. Prefer candidates with experience and a passion for live entertainment.
  • Proven experience in website marketing and all aspects of SEO. Strong understanding of website marketing best practices and rules and regulations including user experience and accessibility.
  • Knowledge of content management systems and basic web development experience including experience writing HTML and CSS.
  • Experience using tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Semrush, and Hotjar. Google Analytics certification preferred. GA4 and Google Tag Manager Certifications preferred.
  • Experience producing digital content and engaging audiences across the digital space.
  • Experience writing search engine optimized web copy while maintaining brand voice.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills and ability to work independently or part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • This position requires the ability to work a variable schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
