U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.


The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days at one of the following locations:




  • Minneapolis, MN




  • Dallas, TX




  • Charlotte, NC




  • Cincinnati, OH




The Microservices Engineer is responsible for including designing, developing, and maintaining microservices software:




  • API configuration : Configure application to connect with APIs and PostgreSQL database




  • Testing : Writing tests to validate software behavior




  • Application maintenance : Building and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant applications and services by using object-oriented methods to reuse and template code




  • Troubleshooting : Troubleshooting issues




  • Business requirements : Understanding business requirements; creating Python scripts to receive, transform, and transmit data; enabling visualizations (dashboard) of application operations




  • Technical specifications : Maintaining detailed functional and technical specifications including authentication




  • Project stakeholders : Working with different project stakeholders to deliver required solutions




Microservices engineer may also be responsible for:




  • Continuous integration and deployment




  • Cloud component usage, configurations, and deployment




  • Analyzing the impact of changes to various source systems to compliance controls




  • Explaining end-to-end testing in microservices




Development experience leveraging:




  • Python




  • Flask




  • Gitlab




  • Jenkins




  • Docker




  • Kubernetes (including managing Kubernetes secrets)




  • Hashicorp a plus




  • Splunk a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $102,340.00 - $120,400.00 - $132,440.00
