Position Overview: An expanding, family-oriented real estate company in the Greater Orlando area is seeking a dedicated Property Accountant to join their team. The Property Accountant will handle full-cycle accounting for a diverse property portfolio, including commercial, retail, and multi-family properties. This position is ideal for someone with experience in property accounting who values work-life balance and professional advancement. Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Cycle Property Accounting: Manage end-to-end accounting processes for a mixed portfolio, handling commercial, retail, and multi-family properties.
• Monthly Close & Reconciliations: Execute monthly close procedures, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and conduct variance analysis to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
• Accruals & Bank Reconciliations: Prepare accruals and complete bank reconciliations to support financial integrity.
• Audit Preparation: Assist in audit preparation, providing schedules and documentation as required.
• Lease Accounting & Compliance: Manage leases in line with ASC 842 standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Budgeting & Reporting: Contribute to annual budget preparation, audit schedules, and financial reporting, supporting strategic planning and financial transparency.
• Fixed Assets Management: Oversee capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking for the property portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience: 2-4 years of property accounting experience, preferably with multi-family or commercial real estate.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in full-cycle property accounting, accruals, bank reconciliations, and ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to professional development.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $67,000 - $72,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
• Work-Life Balance: Flexible hybrid schedule after 90 days, with remote work available.
