Job Summary
Leads and manages community relations and engagement activities for TriWest, with a specific focus on the company's corporate office location of Arizona. Helps coordinate details for communications materials needs for external events, in support of and in conjunction with the VP, Military and Veteran Engagement to help support various events' tabling needs, with a heavy emphasis on Arizona-based events. Must build a working knowledge of TriWest's operations, with particular focus on TriWest's roles and responsibilities in support of federal contracts, including the internal procedures and operations of the company. The director must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work well with people, including professional and non-professional internal and external staff, customers, providers, and subcontractors.
Education & Experience
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business or related field or equivalent experience
• Exceptional oral and written communications and presentations skills.
• Established network of corporate relationships with community leaders at executive/leader levels, especially in the state of Arizona.
• 3-5 years' experience leading corporate giving/engagement programs, and/or community relations/corporate social responsibility programs.
• Demonstrated successful track record of managing large-scale projects and/or engagement campaigns for a corporation aligned to specific corporate business goals.
Preferred:
• Master's Degree
• Marketing/advertising experience
• Experience with Federal health programs, specifically those of the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with industry leaders, local organizations, and businesses to build collaborative partnerships and identify outreach/partnership opportunities; often involves engaging at leader/executive levels.
• In coordination with the VP, Military and Veteran Engagement, and the Communications Team, support various tabling needs and follow through to ensure readiness for events. Manage workflow of requested items to ensure on-time/day of readiness for tabling events.
• Represent TriWest at TriWest-hosted events in the community, as requested.
• Research direct outreach received at TriWest from external organizations; evaluate for potential partnership/ collaboration opportunities.
• Coordinate TriWest participation at locally based events, in support of the VP, Military and Veteran Engagement.
• Cross-functionally manages an engagement opportunity from beginning to end, partnering with other departments as needed for success (Accounting, Communications Events, VP, Military and Veteran Engagement, etc.).
• Designs an annual plan for community relations/outreach efforts and engagement, with heavy emphasis on the state of Arizona.
• Build relationships with both internal and external parties to ensure plan and event goals are met, with a heavy emphasis of the state of Arizona.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Some travel is required.

• Works within a standard office environment (either WFH or in person), with moderate travel
• Extensive computer work with long periods of sitting
