Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. The Pharmacist will collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and patients to optimize drug therapies and improve patient outcomes, while adhering to all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Dispense prescribed medications and ensure accurate medication orders are filled in accordance with physician prescriptions.

  • Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of prescribed medications, including dosages, side effects, and potential drug interactions.

  • Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, including drug dosage, form, and route of administration.

  • Advise healthcare providers on drug selection, dosage adjustments, and potential drug interactions or contraindications.

  • Monitor patient profiles for adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and provide recommendations for alternative treatments as necessary.

  • Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) services, including reviewing patients' medication regimens and making recommendations for optimal drug therapy.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient medication records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Ensure the proper storage and handling of medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Provide immunizations and other healthcare services as appropriate and in accordance with state laws.

  • Monitor inventory levels, order medications, and ensure that pharmaceuticals are stocked and stored properly.

  • Maintain knowledge of the latest pharmaceutical research, trends, and advancements in drug therapies.

  • Educate patients and the healthcare team on new medications, treatment options, and emerging pharmaceutical technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and professional guidelines, including HIPAA, for patient privacy and medication management.

  • Provide leadership and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff, including training and mentoring as needed.
