Security Administrator
This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day oversight of all security aspects related to London Drugs' systems, servers, and network connections by identifying and implementing best practices for securing the technology platforms. This includes supporting and managing all aspects of incident and threat analysis in accordance with London Drug's security policies.
The responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Perform active identification of security events utilizing a variety of security tools to ensure potential issues are identified, investigated, and escalated accordingly.
- Lead or assist in the handling of security incidents to ensure containment, eradication, and recovery while providing proper evidence collection and documentation through to closure.
- Collaborates with the IT team to conduct proactive searches or sweeps of London Drugs' network utilizing a variety of security tools to identify IOCs, suspicious behaviour or activities warranting further investigation.
- Participate and contribute to team process improvement initiatives including maintenance of existing documentation, audit preparation, or the development of new processes and procedures in support of London Drugs' security policies.
- Keep apace of relevant security technologies and emerging threats while participating and contributing to information and knowledge sharing.
- Create or contribute to security, technical or managerial reports related to London Drugs' security services, metrics and KPIs.
- Conduct security reviews of detailed designs for the implementation or upgrade of complex systems.
- Delivers solutions on time, within the pre-defined project budget, maintaining a high level of quality.
- Any other related duties as required.
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to clearly present a topic to a technical or non-technical audience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the company.
- Works well under pressure and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Able to work independently on tasks and projects with little direction while still involving stakeholders appropriately.
- A university degree/college diploma in Computer Science,
- IT related disciplines or equivalent work experience of 7+ years of IT with
- Minimum 3 years of information security experience.
- strong administrative skills and consistently demonstrated technical leadership and organizational abilities.
- Completion of one or more security certifications (CISSP, GSEC, CISA, CISM, etc.) is preferred.
- Previous experience in the retail industry is an asset.
- Demonstrates solid experience and understanding with technology and processes including, but is not limited to:
- End-point Protection
- Intrusion Detection/Prevention
- Firewall
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Vulnerability Assessments
- Encryption
- Incident Response
- Systems Hardening and Best Practice
- Cloud Security
- Displays a solid knowledge/understanding of:
- TCP/IP networks, security and traffic analysis, desktop, server and mobile operating systems and security features/configurations.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
