job summary:
Our West Michigan client is looking for a Mainframe developer to assist in retail operations. This is a remote position, but preferences will be given to candidates local to Grand Rapids, MI or the surrounding Great Lakes states. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years developing in COBOL/DB2 with experience in Cosmos as well as exposure to Azure and .NET.

salary: $55 - 65 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:
Support multiple COBOL, JCL batch/CICS, VSAM/DB2, zOS and online applications
Complete various production support activities such as: analyzing, coding, testing, debugging, maintenance and documentation
Manage allocation of time efficiently between multiple project phases
Attend project meetings and report status as needed
qualifications:
Experience level: Experienced
Minimum 10 years of experience
Education: Bachelors

Software Architecture

Mainframe (5 years of experience is required)
.NET (1 year of experience is preferred)
Azure (1 year of experience is required)
CA7 (1 year of experience is required)
